1979

Comic strip, The Empress, published weekly in local newspaper (six week run).

GALWAY, REPUBLIC OF IRELAND

1982

Won short story competition (a story about extraterrestrial life).
Won cartooning competition about dental health.

Watford, Hertfordshire, U.K.

1986

Worked on scripting and filming a short stop-motion animation film with Chris Mendham
(now of FilmFair animation, London).

1988

Submitted two finished screenplays (episodes) to Paramount studios in Hollywood for the television series Star Trek: The Next Generation.

1991

Helped research the book The Completed Guide to Prime Time Science Fiction Television by Mark Phillips and Frank Garcia. Credited therein.

1992

Scripted out animation feature, The Blagg Brothers, for animator Chris Mendham.

1994

Worked with the creators of London’s ‘Alien War’ attraction in the development of television episode scripts for a proposed comedy series The Gruesome Twosome. Four screenplays completed before financing was pulled by Channel 4.

1995

Worked with biographer Maurice Leonard (author of Mae West: Empress of Sex and The Life of Kathleen Ferrier) in the research for new biography on film star Montgomery Clift.

Scripted short show-reel film The Lodger for Martin Astles.

1996

Developed idea for three-part television ghost story drama The Long Room with Martin Astles. Completed first hour-length script.

1998

Wrote children's novel, Buzz - The Battle of Bumbleton Wood.









Hired by FilmFair to script episodes for the second series The Wombles.
ALL EPISODES AIRED ON ITV.

Completed Patrick Quinn’s Copywriting course.

1999

Commissioned to write script for action adventure motion picture "Devlin Dwight" for Little Slices of Death productions and Eastern Heroes (Hong Kong) productions.

Hodder Childrens Books publishes a series of books based on "The Wombles", including Mark Torrender story "The Great Cake Mystery"

2000

Began work on 2nd script for Little Slices of Death, working title: ‘The Resurrection of Anne Hendricks.’

Science Fiction short story ‘Them’ accepted by BR Fleury Literary Agency (Florida, USA), on behalf of JumpNJupiter (a division of Barnes and Noble) for inclusion in SF Anthology.

2001

Buzz The Battle of Bumbleton Wood self-published by 1st Books, available on Amazon.com

Worked with Little Slices of Death on script development of a film script: "The Toy Shop", a gruesome tale for children.

2002

Helped develop Cybernauts - a children's animated series for Wow Wee productions.

2003

Worked on story and script for graphic novel "Dreamstormers".

2004

Comedy sketch script accepted by "Shoot The Writers" for ITV. Episode aired August 18 2004.

Contacted by ManMachines, a television/film production company of London. Will be working as script writer with a production team on an animation pilot "Legends of the Sun", about a time travelling boy and his adventures..

Began working on novel "Blood Family", a vampire novel.

Travelogue article Chiapas: The Burning Heart of Mexico published in November by The Watford Observer newspaper in its leisure section.

2005

Invited by movie magazine "Empire" to have a week of work experience during the last week of January. I wrote numerous movie related articles for their online unit, and these were published on the Empire website www.empireonline.co.uk.

Article on diversity with Royal Mail published in The Courier newspaper.

Short story Them published in "Bardic Tales and Sage Advice".

Aesthetica Magazine publishes "Chiapas: The Burning Heart of Mexico" online.

2006

Short story The Long View accepted and published by Wet Ink Press in May (see www.thewritersden.com)

Wrote sitcom Babylon intended for Omid Djalili.

2007

Completed six half hour episodes of sitcom "Babylon". Azko films (www.azkofilms.com) are interested in selling the project.

Working with Frank Richards of Fat Cat Animation, Phoenix, Arizona. Will develop 26 x 11minute animated stories about Ireland’s famous Fungie the dolphin (for 4-6 year old age group). Will be presenting this project to TG4 and Irish Film Board.

Short story "The Trial" to be published in InvisibleInk.com's first anthology book, Invisible Ink 1 in December.

Self-published children's novel "Buzz" requested by animation producer Gary Goldman (Titan A.E. (2000) /Anastasia (1997)/All Dogs Go to Heaven (1989)

2008

Script Forbidden wins 3rd Place in Gimme Credit Short Screenplay Competition.

Novel Blood Family considered by Hodder & Stoughton publishers (brought to their attention by my literary agent, Isabel Atherton of Creative Authors Literary Agency.

Wrote Christmas horror script Claws with Martin Astles.

Novel Blood Family with Harper Collins publishers.

Henson Associates contact my agent about dramatic rights to Blood Family.
